ABOUT THE RATE SCENARIOS
The calculator offers three scenarios based on publicly available information:
Recent Trend ... 8.0% annually Reflects APS rate adjustments of 8% in 2023 and 8% in 2024, as approved by the Arizona Corporation Commission.
SRP has similarly adjusted rates multiple times over the same period as part of its ongoing fuel and purchased power recovery process.
Formula Rate Projection ...10.5% annually APS has proposed a formula rate structure with the ACC that would allow for annual rate adjustments based on actual costs.
Independent analysts project blended annual increases in the 8–13% range under this structure through 2030.
ACC Filed Request ...14.0% annually In June 2025, APS filed an application with the Arizona Corporation Commission requesting a 13.99% rate adjustment to recover infrastructure investments made since 2021.
This request is currently under review and new rates are not expected before the second half of 2026.
